Using simple, open brushwork is one of Becki’s favorite techniques. The loosely structured, intuitive designs, though similar are actually unique because the brush and liquid slip are allowed to flow and drip freely, resulting in distinctive patterns.

The Creamy Orange Zen bowl is great for everyday use. It is the perfect size for breakfast, lunch, or dessert. The brushwork design painted on the inside of the bowl is revealed after the food is consumed, adding an element of surprise after the last bite.

This bowl was hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel by Becki. It is approximately 2.5 inches high and 5 inches in diameter and can easily hold 1 1/2 cups of liquid. Becki uses a warm brown, stoneware clay that has speckles in it and glazes that are mixed in the studio. All pottery is fired to 2200 degrees making it food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.

If you choose to use this bowl in the oven, please remember to place the bowl in the oven before the preheat cycle begins so it can warm gradually as the temperature increases preventing thermal shock. Pottery should not be heated on the stove top or over an open flame. Washing by hand and handling with care is recommended to extend the life of your handmade pottery.
All pottery will be shipped within 1-3 days after you place your order. Items are carefully wrapped and double boxed to ensure safe arrival at your home. Packages will be shipped using USPS. The cost of shipping will be a flat rate of $15 per order.
If your package should arrive damaged, please take a photograph of the box before you open it. Take more photos of any damaged products to send to USPS to file your claim with them.
