This creamy orange apple baker was created to bake and present an apple as a special fall or winter dessert. Each baker will hold one large cored apple with room to add sugar, spices, nuts and any other additions to make the perfect dessert. It is used as both a baker and a serving dish, making dessert quick and simple for a number of guests or for an individual. A variety of recipes can be used to enhance your apple baking experience. Creamy Orange Apple Baker
This apple baker was hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel by Becki. It is approximately 3 inches high and 5.5 inches in diameter and can easily hold one large apple. Several different rim designs are used, creating visual diversity for your dinner party. Becki uses a warm brown, stoneware clay that has speckles in it and glazes that are mixed in the studio. All pottery is fired to 2200 degrees making it food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.
When you use this apple bakerl in the oven, please remember to place the baker in the oven before the preheat cycle begins so it can warm gradually as the temperature increases preventing thermal shock. Pottery should not be heated on the stove top or over an open flame. Washing by hand and handling with care is recommended to extend the life of your handmade pottery.
